What if I lose my private key to my externally hosted wallet?

You should contact your wallet provider regarding key recovery. In many cases, however, there is no way to recover access to your wallet if you lost your private keys. Because a private key, or a combination of private keys, is necessary to control and send and receive tokens stored in your wallet, the loss of one or more of your private keys associated with your digital wallet or vault storing the tokens will result in the loss of your tokens. Republic assumes no liability for such losses.

If you believe that your Republic account has been compromised and your wallet address has been changed, please contact us at crypto@republic.co. The best method to prevent this type of intrusion would be to enable 2FA on your account.
